The reference daily intake (RDI) is about 2.4 micrograms (mcg) for normal person and slightly higher for pregnant women. It is absorbed in stomach and any excess quantity above RDI is stored in your liver. Vitamin B12 is something your body can’t make and it should be taken from your diet or supplements.
